Kelly Bowden’s passion for photography began to flicker when she worked on a dude ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, during college. With the Grand Tetons and Snake River as her backyard, she was inspired to capture this beauty and share it with others through her eyes. It wasn’t until after graduate school at Auburn University, when she moved to Eugene, Oregon, that her passion for photography ignited and she purchased her first SLR camera. She enrolled in a photography course at the local community college in Eugene and learned the basics necessary to begin her future as a photographer. On a field trip and several visits back to the Sweet Creek Trail in Oregon, Kelly realized photography was not just going to be a hobby for her. Several years later, Kelly became immersed in photography at Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula, Montana. Upon graduation, she began her business, Sweet Creek Photography, which signifies her roots and beginning in this lifelong journey with her craft. Today Kelly lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and enjoys photographing just about any subject. Among her favorites are pets, horses, children, nature, and wildlife. She also photographs weddings, sports, and events including concerts, family reunions, and horse shows.
